Already recognized as an enormous musical talent as a child, Marco Arcieri put a career as a concert pianist on hold while he pursued another passion – engineering.
Marco earned a degree in engineering from Rome La Sapienza University, and soon ran his own successful engineering firm in Rome – before deciding to abandon that career, dissolving his firm so that he could dedicate all of his time to the study and performance of the music of Chopin.
At the Saint Cecilia Conservatory Marco’s teachers included Rina Rossi, Franco Medori and Natalia Gussewa, and he was selected to participate in various music contests and also sat in the jury at Masterclass Internazionali 2013 in Montepulciano, organized by the European Academy of Music.
Soon hailed as a supreme Chopin interpreter, Marco was engaged to perform the complete works of Chopin at the seventeenth century castle, Schloss Friedrichsfelde, in Berlin, formerly the home of Prince Ferdinand of Prussia, brother of Frederick the Great, performing two concerts a year for the next several years.
Marco Arcieri also performs annually at the “Musical Summer” on the German island Sylt. He has presented Chopin recitals for RAI Radio Televisione Italiana, for the Italian Cultural Ministry, in the Spanish, Austrian and Egyptian Embassies in Rome, at the Romanian Finance Ministry, and at the University of Rome (“La Sapienza“), as well as in numerous European cities.
